Senior Financial Accountant
This role takes ownership of the daily running of the finance department from overseeing the outsourced bookkeeping activities to month end, year end and external audit support.
- Ownership of the monthly management accounts process including journal postings and BS recs through to TB
- Assisting with preparation of consolidated accounts
- Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
- Supporting the year end accounting process with the auditors including consolidations and disclosures
- External audit management
- Monthly and quarterly interest, facility fee and commission calculations
- End to end ownership of the loan book and cash recs
- Supporting the streamlining and documentation of finance processes and identifying ways to further automate reporting
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with experience within management and financial accounting with experience working within financial services ideally an alternative lending type business, banking or other types of fintech. Any experience of loan operations (interest calculations, debt holder payments, loan recs etc) an advantage.
Lastly, you will be comfortable working within a fast paced start-up environment, happy being hands on and in the detail
Salary: To £65,000 + package
